Therese and Family
Thank you to all the Veterans that have helped keep our country safe.
Therese, I third or fourth your post! We are a 4th generation military family, but this weekend I am thinking of my dad this weekend who gave 25 years of service to the Army and another 15 to the Defense Dept in the Pentagon. Mom and I will go and visit his grave tomorrow and place some flowers. I am grateful for those who stepped up to the plate whenever they were called upon over the years for our the defense of the country. My brother also served in the Special Forces and his son now in there as well, and I have another nephew headed to the Marines ( don't know what happened to him...should be Army as well, but hey, I am proud... whatever).
Great post, glad you put it on here. Keeping our troops and families in my prayers, especially after that horrific murder by that nut in Texas. Terrible, just terrible.
Just cant say thank you enough. One of my best friend's wife just shipped out for Iraq; he got back about a year ago and is know taken up where she left off by caring for the three little ones. God bless and thank you from me and my family. Wonderful song in tribute.
Grandfather, father, father-in-law, mother, uncles, an aunt, various cousins . . . and for generations back . . . Civil war . . . Revolutionary War.
A big thank you to all who have served.
To the heroes and guardians of freedom... our gratefulness cannot be expressed in mere words. May the hand of God keep you and yours safe.
The Marines (Happy 234th Birthday today) have a saying -Semper Fidelis which is Latin for ‘Always Faithful’. This applies to both the other branches and the people that support the military.
Having been lucky enough to miss the conflicts in the middle east but having served on a ship and in Asia, it would have been more difficult without those letters and the support from people back home.
So thank you Therese for your support.
